Be confident that Le Parfaits wider openings, sturdier closing systems and French sophistication will last a lifetime.
  • JOIN THE COMMUNITY - Within the Le Parfait family, you are included with award-winning professional chefs, national culinary institutions and charitable food organizers who trust Le Parfaits dependability and durability within the finest gourmet establishments around the world.
  • Le Parfait glass preserving jars are popular because they are made with all-natural materials, are easy to use, save you time in your daily schedule, offer a large range of various sizes and styles, are simple to clean, and the global website supports you with engaging resources.
  • If using the jars for daily storage use, we recommend occasionally rotating the wire ring while holding the glass jar and lid stationary. This will help to release any crumbs or debris caught under the wire and avoid clamping pressure being placed repeatedly on the same area of the glass rim.

Le Parfait Super jars and terrines should always be used with a Le Parfait Super rubber seal, even when the jar or terrine is used for pantry storage. Persistent opening and closing of the wire hinge could cause damage. Please consider the Le Parfait COLOR LID product line with screw-top caps as an alternative for pantry storage.

For a simple homemade coffee setup, pair these jars with our cold brew kit to make smooth, full-bodied coffee right at home.

Le Parfait America offers glassware designed for food preparation, storage, preservation, and pantry organization. The French tapered wire bail jars feature a tapered shape for easy filling and controlled pouring, making them useful for layered desserts and small-batch ferments. Their structure supports repeated use, helping keep ingredients organized in one place. These French glass jars are built for consistent everyday kitchen use.

The design prioritizes function over decoration. A wire closure system creates a secure seal for short- and long-term storage, while the glass stays clear and stable through temperature changes. These jars are often used for meal prep and fermented condiments, keeping ingredients visible and easy to access.

Structured Storage with Versatile Form

Super terrine jars are designed for recipes that need stability and consistent sealing. The wide opening allows easy packing of spreads and preserved vegetables without disrupting texture. They support both hot and cold preparation, fitting well into seasonal cooking and small-batch use at home.

These jars also work well for pantry organization. Dry goods, baking mixes, grains, and prepared ingredients can be portioned and stored neatly without excess packaging. For users looking to simplify kitchen routines, they offer a practical balance of access and containment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are French tapered wire bail jars best used for?

French tapered wire bail jars are commonly used for ingredient preparation and light preservation tasks. Their tapered shape helps ingredients settle evenly, making them suitable for layered foods like desserts or marinated vegetables. Many users also use them for pantry organization since they offer easy scooping and clear visibility.

Can super terrine jars be used for both cooking and storage?

Yes, super terrine jars support both preparation and storage. They are often used for packing spreads and cooked mixtures during cooking, then sealed for storage. Their structure helps maintain texture, especially for recipes that need controlled packing or cooling.

How do these jars support food freshness?

These jars help maintain a stable storage environment by limiting exposure to air and moisture. When properly sealed, they help preserve texture and flavor for dry and prepared foods. This makes them useful for advanced food prep and seasonal storage.

Are these jars practical for small-batch food making?

Yes, both jar types are used for small-batch jams, spreads, fermented vegetables, and baked mixtures. Their consistent sizing and durable glass make them suitable for repeatable home or artisanal food preparation.

Where are Le Parfait jars made?

How do you use Le Parfait jars?

Le Parfait jars are used for home canning (water bath and pressure canning), fermenting vegetables, freezer storage, dry-pantry storage, refrigerator storage of leftovers, and serving. Recipes and how-to guides are at leparfait.us/blogs/recipes.

Are these jars good for water bath canning and pressure canning?

Yes. Le Parfait jars are approved for foodstuffs and can be used for long-term food preservation with either water bath or pressure canning. See leparfait.us/blogs/recipes for specific time and temperature requirements. The rubber seal (Super) or sealing cap (Screw Top) is a replacement part; use a new seal for each canning event.

Is Le Parfait glass lead free?

Yes. Le Parfait glass is a soda-lime-silica glass with no lead added during fabrication. Products are tested annually to certify no heavy metal contaminants (lead, cadmium, etc.) and meet the most stringent European and French standards for food-use glass.

How often should you replace the rubber seal?

Replace rubber seals after every canning or pickling project, or every six months for everyday use. Replace immediately at any sign of cracking, drying, or discoloration to protect the closing mechanism.

Are Le Parfait glass jars freezable?

Yes. Le Parfait glass jars work well for freezer storage thanks to the sleek neck and shoulder geometry. Leave proper headspace for contents to expand.

Are Le Parfait glass jars dishwasher safe?

Yes. Le Parfait jars are dishwasher safe and can also be hand washed. Air dry completely before storing.

Can you use Le Parfait jars for fermentation?

Yes. Le Parfait Super Jars are ideal for fermenting sauerkraut, kimchi, pickles, and hot sauce. The rubber gasket and wire-bail closure allows CO2 from active fermentation to escape while keeping oxygen and contaminants out, no airlock required. Fill to the shoulder, keep the wire bail clamped, and store in a cool location during active fermentation.

Most beautiful storage jars, I am such a fan.

My favorite jars of all time, what other jar can you fit a whole cup measure into? Lovely, heavy and solid. The glass is so nice. If you have open shelving, get these, they're really gorgeous, everything looks like art in them!
