Storage works best when you can see what you have and trust the vessel to move through repeated kitchen routines. Le Parfait glass makes pantry staples easy to identify, lets you monitor refrigerated ingredients and leftovers, and cleans thoroughly between uses without retaining the color or aroma of the previous contents.
Multiple jar shapes and closure systems allow the glass to be matched to the job: frequent-access Screw Top Jars, classic wire-bail closures, straight-sided freezer vessels, compact portion jars, and bottles for pourable foods. Replaceable lids, seals, and caps keep the system useful over time.
Bulk and refill shopping naturally becomes part of the pantry routine: weigh or tare the container when appropriate, purchase the quantity you need, transfer or refill clean jars, then label and date the contents. Screw Top Jars are the frequent-access choice because the airtight storage lid is easy to remove and replace.
Use Super Terrines when a wide opening and straight sides make scooping easier, and smaller jars for spices, sugar, salt, and baking ingredients. The result is a pantry that is easier to read, easier to replenish, and less dependent on disposable packaging.
Refrigerator storage should make food easier to find and easier to use. Super Jars work well for washed fruits and vegetables, soups, leftovers, snacks, and larger refrigerated quantities. Jam Jars provide airtight and watertight storage for sauces, dressings, condiments, and smaller leftover portions.
Choose a size that minimizes excess empty space without crowding the food, close the jar with the intended storage closure, and label prepared foods when the contents or date may not be obvious.
For freezer storage, choose a jar shape that gives frozen food room to expand and release after thawing. Super Terrines and Bistrot Jars are especially practical because their straighter sides suit batch cooking and portioned meals. Other Le Parfait jar families may also be frozen; Bottles should not be used in the freezer.
Cool food before freezing, leave adequate headspace for liquids, and avoid thermal shock. Thaw frozen contents gradually. Reheat only after thawing and after all lids, gaskets, bands, clips, caps, and other closure hardware have been removed.
Bottles bring the same visible, reusable glass system to liquids and pourable ingredients. Use them for cold brew, infused water, juice, milk, homemade syrups, oils, vinegars, and dressings. Swing-top bottles are well suited to oils and other pourable pantry ingredients.
Finished kefir, kombucha, fermented sodas, and other cultured drinks may be transferred to an appropriate bottle after the active fermentation stage, following the recipe's pressure and refrigeration guidance. Bottles are not recommended for freezer or oven use.
Choose Screw Top Jars for frequent pantry access, bulk and refill routines, and color-coded organization. Select Super Terrines for wide-mouth, scoop-friendly storage and straight-sided freezer use; choose Super Jars for refrigerated produce, soups, snacks, and larger visible storage.
Use Bistrot Jars for compact freezer portions, Jam Jars for airtight small portions, and Bottles for liquids. Familia Wiss Terrines bridge preserving and storage: use the gold two-piece closure for canning and the recommended white ribbed cap for everyday storage. The 1 L and 2 L Screw Top Jars use 100 mm lids; the 3 L jar uses a 110 mm lid.

Yes. The colorful Screw Top storage lids are designed to create an airtight and watertight closure when properly fitted with their removable food-contact-safe foam liner. Wire-bail Super Jars, Super Terrines, and Bistrot Jars use a glass lid, rubber gasket, and metal closure to create an airtight seal when the components are clean, correctly sized, and securely clamped. Always match the closure to the specific jar family and size.
Screw Top Jars are the best frequent-access choice because their colorful storage lids are easy to remove and replace while maintaining an airtight, watertight closure. The 1 L, 2 L, and 3 L sizes work well for flour, grains, pasta, coffee, snacks, and other staples. Super Terrines are a strong alternative when a wider opening is helpful for scooping ingredients.
The colorful lids are everyday airtight and watertight storage caps with a removable foam liner. The gold Familia Wiss system is a two-piece canning closure made from a full screw band and a separate flat sealing lid. The gold system may also be used for storage, but the colorful lid is the simpler frequent-access option for Screw Top Jars, and the white ribbed 100 mm cap is recommended for everyday storage on compatible Familia Wiss Terrines.
The 1 L and 2 L Screw Top Jars use 100 mm closures. The 3 L Screw Top Jar uses a 110 mm closure. Confirm the diameter shown on the jar or product page before purchasing a replacement lid.
Super Jars are a versatile choice for washed fruits and vegetables, soups, snacks, and larger leftovers. Jam Jars work especially well for sauces, dressings, condiments, prepared ingredients, and smaller portions because their twist lids are airtight and watertight. Screw Top Jars can also move easily between pantry and refrigerator storage.
Le Parfait glass jar families in this collection may be used for freezer storage except Bottles. Straight-sided Super Terrines and Bistrot Jars are especially practical for soups, sauces, cooked grains, and batch-cooked portions. Cool food before freezing and leave adequate headspace when the contents contain liquid so there is room for expansion.
Avoid sudden temperature changes. Thaw frozen contents gradually rather than moving the jar directly from the freezer into a hot oven or microwave. Reheat only after thawing, and remove every lid, gasket, band, clip, cap, and other closure component before microwaving or placing the glass vessel in an oven. Follow the product care instructions and do not use Bottles in the freezer or oven.
Super Jars, Super Terrines, and Bistrot Jars may be organized in stable stacks when the jar size, closure, contents, and shelf conditions allow. Familia Wiss Terrines are not designed as a stacking system, though compatible jars fitted with a flat white ribbed storage cap will stack in a limited way. Keep heavy jars on lower shelves and avoid unstable arrangements.
Use Bottles for cold brew, water, juice, milk, homemade syrups, oils, vinegars, dressings, and other pourable foods. Finished kefir, kombucha, fermented sodas, and cultured beverages may be transferred to a suitable bottle after active fermentation, following the recipe's pressure and refrigeration guidance. Bottles are not recommended for freezer or oven use.
Wash the glass and closures according to their product care instructions and allow every component to dry fully before storage. Inspect rubber gaskets, foam liners, lids, bands, and caps for wear, damage, or lingering residue, and replace them when they no longer close properly. Use removable labels or pantry markers when contents change frequently so the glass can be cleaned and reused for a new purpose.
