This Privacy Policy explains how Le Parfait America Distribution, Inc., doing business as Le Parfait America, collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit leparfait.us, buy from us, contact us, participate in our rewards or review programs, or otherwise interact with our services.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Contact and account information, such as name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping address, account credentials, and communication preferences.
• Order and transaction information, such as products viewed or purchased, order history, discounts, returns, refunds, and fulfillment information.
• Payment-related information. Payment providers process payment-card details. We do not receive or store the complete card number except as a provider may make limited details available for transaction administration.
• Communications and content, such as customer-service messages, chat transcripts, survey responses, product questions, reviews, photographs, videos, and other content you submit.
• Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, identifiers, pages and products viewed, referring pages, interactions, approximate location derived from IP address, and cookie or similar-technology data.
• Marketing, advertising, and preference information, including email engagement, consent choices, rewards activity, and interactions with advertisements.

We collect information directly from you, automatically through the site, and from service providers and partners such as Shopify, payment processors, fulfillment and delivery providers, analytics providers, advertising partners, review and loyalty platforms, and fraud-prevention services.

How we use information

We may use personal information to:

• provide the site, accounts, checkout, orders, payment processing, delivery, returns, refunds, and customer support;
• communicate about orders, service messages, questions, reviews, rewards, and requests;
• personalize and improve products, content, navigation, and customer experience;
• measure site performance and marketing effectiveness;
• provide marketing and advertising in accordance with consent and applicable law;
• detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms;

How we disclose information

We may disclose personal information to vendors and service providers that help operate the business, including Shopify, payment processors, carriers, fulfillment providers, Klaviyo, Judge.me, Yotpo, Microsoft Clarity, Shopify Inbox, Google Analytics, Meta, ShareASale, Shopify Customer Events pixels, social-media and content tools, analytics and advertising providers, fraud-prevention providers, professional advisers, and technology vendors. Each provider receives information appropriate to its role and handles it under its own obligations and our agreements where applicable.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a business transaction, or at your direction.

Some privacy laws define certain advertising or analytics disclosures as a "sale," "sharing," or use for targeted advertising even when money is not exchanged. Where applicable, you may opt out through the site's Your Privacy Choices or Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link and supported browser signals. We do not knowingly sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of exchanging it for money.

Pinterest integration

Authorized Le Parfait America personnel may connect an internal content-management tool to the Le Parfait America Pinterest business account. With account authorization, the tool may access public boards and Pins, including group boards on which Le Parfait America is an authorized collaborator, and may create boards or save approved Pins. Authentication is handled through Pinterest OAuth; we do not collect Pinterest passwords.

Access tokens and related Pinterest data are used only for internal content management. They are not sold and are disclosed only to service providers needed to operate the integration. Authorization may be revoked through Pinterest or by contacting info@leparfait.us. We delete stored authorization credentials when the integration is disconnected or deletion is requested, subject to legal or security retention requirements.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our providers use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies for essential site functions, preferences, analytics, fraud prevention, marketing, and advertising. Where required, nonessential technologies are used according to your consent choice. You may use the site's privacy-choice page and your browser settings to exercise available choices. Blocking some technologies may affect site functions.

Where required by applicable law and supported by our systems, we treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request for the browser or device that sends it.

Reviews, rewards, and user content

If you submit a review or other public content, the name or nickname, rating, review, media, and related information you choose to provide may be displayed publicly and shared with review-distribution partners such as Google. Reviews should reflect honest experience. Any incentive or material connection must be disclosed, and incentives are not conditioned on positive sentiment.

Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including order administration, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and enforcement. Retention periods vary by record type and legal obligation.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about use and disclosure; to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or profiling; to withdraw consent; and to appeal a denied request. You may also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

International visitors

Information may be processed in the United States, Canada, and other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from those in your location. Where required, appropriate transfer safeguards will be used.

Our operations, office, and warehouse are located at 910 S. Riverside Drive, Unit #7, Elmhurst, Illinois 60126. That warehouse may be designated as the return destination after authorization. Do not mail a return to either address without prior routing instructions.
