Le Parfait jars are made in France. The company has produced glass preserving jars since 1930, and every jar sold by Le Parfait America is manufactured in France to French and European food-safety standards, then imported and distributed from our Elmhurst, Illinois warehouse.

Yes. Le Parfait glass is a soda-lime-silica glass with no lead added during fabrication. Products are tested annually to certify no heavy metal contaminants (lead, cadmium, etc.) and meet the most stringent European and French standards for food-use glass.
Are Le Parfait glass jars freezable?

Yes. Le Parfait glass jars work well for freezer storage thanks to the sleek neck and shoulder geometry. Leave proper headspace for contents to expand.
Are Le Parfait glass jars dishwasher safe?

Yes. Le Parfait jars are dishwasher safe and can also be hand washed. Air dry completely before storing.

Can Screw Top jars be used for canning?

Only with the canning lid. For water-bath canning of high-acid foods, close the jar with the Familia Wiss two-piece lid: a gold metal screw band and a new flat sealing cap, 100 mm for the 1 L and 2 L jars and 110 mm for the 3 L jar (band, cap). The Gold (Canning Lid) jars come with both pieces; use a new sealing cap for each later batch. The colored storage lids are for the pantry and fridge, not for canning. Follow a current tested recipe written for your jar size. The 2 L and 3 L jars are best kept for storage unless your tested recipe covers them.
