Directions
Press the juice from the fresh lemons. Strain out the seeds and pulp.
In a 1.5 L Super Jar combine the honey with the water and stir until dissolved. Add the lemon juice and mix well.
Dissolve the honey in water, then mix in the lemon juice.
Add in the pickle brine, and mix well.
Taste your concoction, and adjust the flavor with more pickle brine or a bit more honey as desired.
Place ice cubes into four Jam Jars, and pour your thirst quenching, probiotic-rich lemonade into the glasses.
Garnish with slices of lemon and pickles.
Recipe Note
The flavor and saltiness of fermented pickle brine can vary, so start with 3 tablespoons and add more to taste. For the best flavor, chill the lemonade before serving and adjust with additional honey or brine as needed.
Be sure to use brine from naturally fermented pickles rather than vinegar-based pickle juice if you want to preserve the fermented character of the original recipe.
