Shop canning jars by closure type
Le Parfait offers three closure systems: wire-bail Super Jars and Super Terrines for hot-fill water bath canning, screw-band Familia Wiss for pressure canning and gifting, and snap-on Jam Jars for short-shelf preserves. Each closure is built for repeated re-canning with a replaceable seal or lid.
Water bath canning vs pressure canning: which jar is right for you
Water bath canning (212°F) covers high-acid foods (jams, pickles, tomato sauces) and works in any Le Parfait canning jar. Pressure canning (240°F+) is required for low-acid foods like green beans, soups, and meats, and is best suited to Familia Wiss with a fresh metal sealing cap. Match the jar to the method, not the other way around.
Sizes and pack formats
Le Parfait canning jars run from 250ml (8 oz) for individual portions up to 3L (96 oz) for large-batch ferments and stocks. Most sizes ship in packs of 3, 4, or 6; replacement seals and lids are sold separately by jar diameter.
Care, seals, and replacements
Le Parfait jars last decades when the orange rubber seal (Super) or metal sealing cap (Familia Wiss) is replaced after every canning event. The glass body and wire hardware are designed for indefinite reuse.
