A beautiful batch of jam is built through a sequence of small, deliberate steps. Begin by weighing fruit and sugar, then choose a copper or stainless steel basin for cooking. A thermometer, thermometer spatula or syrup hydrometer helps you follow the batch as it develops, while a long beechwood spatula supports larger preparations and a silicone spatula helps scrape and finish smaller quantities.
As the preserve cooks, use a stainless steel skimmer to remove foam and a ladle to transfer the finished jam. The special orange jam funnel helps guide hot preserve into the jar with less mess around the rim. Coulis mills and presses extend the same workflow to smooth sauces and strained fruit preparations, while labels and markers finish the batch for storage or gifting.
Pair these tools with Le Parfait Jam Jars and the step-by-step method in Jamming 101.
Choose the vacuum system that fits the format you use most often. The rechargeable pump is intended for compact, repeat-use storage with compatible valve bags and the Les Essentiels two-pack of 85 mm Super-style vacuum valve lids. It removes air from selected Le Parfait jars and compatible bags without setting up a countertop machine.
The countertop vacuum-sealing kit is designed for compatible embossed bags and rolls. Use pre-cut bags for quick portioning or cut a roll to the length you need for larger ingredients. Sealed packages can help organize refrigerator and freezer storage and prepare ingredients for cooking in a separate, controlled-temperature sous-vide water bath.
Vacuum sealing does not make perishable food shelf-stable. Continue to refrigerate, freeze or process food according to the ingredient, recipe and current food-safety guidance.
A smooth preserving day begins before the first jar is filled and continues after the batch has cooled. Keep a stainless steel funnel nearby for clean filling, use the temperature tools called for by your recipe and choose a jar lifter designed to move compatible hot jars with a secure grip.
Once the jars are cool, labels and markers make the contents and date easy to identify. Later, jar-opening pliers and a manual jar opener provide purpose-built ways to access the finished preserve. Together, these tools create a repeatable station around the tested canning method you follow, and around the Le Parfait preserving jars you fill.
The 23 L and 45 L electric sterilizers are planned for a future U.S. release. Their product pages may be previewed now, with availability updates posted when confirmed.
Dehydration removes moisture gradually, concentrating seasonal ingredients and expanding the ways you can enjoy them. Prepare ingredients in even pieces, arrange them with room for airflow and follow the time and temperature guidance for the food and final texture you want.
After drying, allow the food to cool and condition it according to the guide before longer storage. Transfer finished ingredients to clean, dry jars or compatible vacuum packaging, then label the contents and date. Clear glass keeps color, texture and quantity easy to see at a glance.

Manual preparation tools give you direct control over texture and flow. Use the No. 8 manual meat grinder for suitable ground preparations, a coulis mill and press for smooth fruit or vegetable sauces, and the stainless steel funnel with filter when a strained liquid needs to move cleanly into a bottle or narrow opening.
These tools are especially useful when the preparation itself is part of the pleasure: turning the handle, pressing the fruit and watching the finished texture collect below. Pair them with the right scale, spatula or funnel to build a complete station around the recipe.
The smallest tools often make the biggest difference to the flow of a kitchen project. A scale brings accuracy to ingredients and portions. Thermometers help you follow temperature-sensitive recipes. Spatulas stir, scrape and finish, while funnels help move food or liquid into jars and bottles more neatly.
Labels and markers complete the process by keeping contents, dates and batches easy to identify. Because these tools support many different routines, they are a practical place to begin when building a Les Essentiels collection.
Les Essentiels FAQ
Les Essentiels is Le Parfait's collection of purpose-built kitchen tools and preservation equipment. The range supports jam-making, canning, vacuum storage, dehydration, measuring, food preparation and the finishing steps that bring each project together.
Manufacturing location varies by product. Les Essentiels products are made by selected manufacturing partners in several countries. The current country of origin is listed on each individual product page.
A practical starting setup includes a jam basin, scale, long spatula or thermometer spatula, skimmer, ladle, special jam funnel, labels and marker. Add a thermometer, syrup hydrometer, coulis mill or coulis press according to the recipe and the style of preserve you make.
The rechargeable pump works with compatible valve bags and the Les Essentiels two-pack of 85 mm Super-style vacuum valve lids. The countertop system is designed for compatible embossed bags and rolls. Choose the pump for compact jar and bag storage; choose the countertop system for custom bag lengths, larger portions and freezer organization.
No. Removing air does not make perishable food shelf-stable. Refrigerate, freeze or process food according to the ingredient, recipe and current food-safety guidance. A vacuum-sealed package prepared for sous-vide cooking still requires a separate controlled-temperature cooking appliance.
The two-pack fits the 500 ml, 750 ml, 1 L and 1.5 L Super Jars and the 350 ml Super Terrine.
The rechargeable vacuum pump includes a USB-A-to-USB-C charging cable. A wall adapter is not included. Compatible valve bags and the two-pack of 85 mm vacuum valve lids are sold separately unless a product page states otherwise.
These products are planned for a future U.S. release and may be previewed on their Coming Soon product pages. Sign up on the product page to receive an update when availability and final U.S. specifications are confirmed.
Applicable durable Les Essentiels products carry a two-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the original date of purchase, subject to the terms on the product page. Consumables such as bags, rolls, labels and markers follow the standard return and defect policy.
Each product page lists the available technical specifications, included components, compatibility, care and safety information. When a product requires instructions, an English manual or quick-start guide will be available to view or download from that product page.
